The Trophy: A (perpetual) rolling trophy made of a meteorite.

Camp del Cielo Iron Meteorite

Unearthed: Gran Chaco Gualamba, Chaco, Argentina
Iron: Octahedrite, coarse (3mm), Type IA
Found: 1572

Iraon (IA) coarse Octahedrite with silicate inclusions. This meteorite was first discovered in 1572 by Spanish explorers in Chaco, Agentina. Thousands of pieces have been found near some impact craters, the largest weighing over 33 tonnes.

This piece is from a new find, miles from the original field. It was unearthed from closed forest, having been buried several feet underground.

The Award

Twelve finalist teams from around the world are selected to compete with a new scenario in a live Competition at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, with real engineers sharing their knowledge and experience in both engineering and management. Two teams selected from the Asian Semifinals.
