Ever since we have been organising
this competition in India, every year we reach out to
more than 3000 schools for participating in this
competition. The basic idea being informing more and
more teachers and students all across Asia about the
wonderful mode of learning that has evolved over 20
years of execution.
From all around Asia, we have been handling hundreds
of queries about various aspects of the competitions
but when it comes down to participation, we have
noticed that a few factors hinder the participation of
kids and teachers alike. Lack of awareness and
understanding of the basic concepts involved, lack of
confidence, no one to guide the team, and many more. |
 |
What people do not realise is that the
real product of the Competition is not the proposals or
designs, but what the Competition experience does to the
participants. We pick a winner to emulate industry, where
only one company gets to perform the contract, even though
there may be many outstanding designs worth building--but
winning is not what's important in the Design Competition.
Learning is what's important. Going through the process is
what it's all about.
Realising that most of the schools face the same problems,
we have formed a panel of experts, to conduct workshops at
your school. They can give your teams a head start.
Our Experts have experience of leading winning teams at
the Asian and the International Competition. They can
conduct workshops at your school and give your students
all the intricate details needed in understanding and
designing Space Settlements.

"On behalf of the management , staff & students of
Amity International school, Noida , I would like to thank
you for the amazing workshop you conducted for us.
I was taken aback by the depth of your knowledge & with
what humbleness & simplicity you imparted it. It was not a
one way traffic, you made the students sit up & think for
themselves. Though informal, the workshop was very
enriching & mind stimulating. You did not make it
intimidating at all! You initiated the children to start
with the basics and then proceed step by step. You helped
them to address first things first and most importantly to
understand the question thoroughly. Even the 13year olds
could understand quite a bit and enjoyed interacting with
you!
Our students are definitely inspired by you & are now I
feel the effort will come from within. You are surely a
role model for them. Keep up the great work! I am sure the
students have not only gained insight for this competition
but for any competition or problem they would face in the
future. They know precisely how to go about any difficult
task now!
Thanks!"

"The International Space Settlement Design Competition
is the most intriguing and challenging competition that
one can come across. Before this workshop I was merely
reaching out in the dark, but through it I was shown
light. And I can only thank Mr. Abhishek Agarwal for it.
The workshops purpose was to guide us in how to best make
use of time, handwork, creativity and channel it to
success in this competition and beyond. Success beyond
this competition too, because these industrial skills that
are taught in this workshop are invaluable in a future
perspective. The highlight of the workshop was that it was
completely informal and highly interactive. That made sure
the interest never waned and continued to escalate through
out the length of the program.
Every single intricacy and detail of the competition was
lucidly discussed and explained. Each and every doubt was
cleared and our concepts made stronger. Most importantly
we were taught how to look at the larger picture and how
to find simple logical solutions to a complicated problem.
And that in essence is the underlying principle of the
workshop."
