Abhishek Agarwal
CEO Atlantis Research

Abhisek is currently a final year engineering student at Thapar University, Patiala and is also the CEO of Atlantis Research.

Abhishek led the winning team at the International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC), held at Kennedy Space Centre, Florida in the year 2004. He is the convener and founder of Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition, which  serves as semi finals for ISSDC held now at Johnson Space Centre, Houston. Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition is being organised for the third time this year (2006-07).

Abhishek has been bestowed with the Peter Diamandis Leadership Award at the Space Generation Congress, on September 30, 2006 in Valencia Spain. He was one of the five students, selected by the Indian Space Research Organisation, to represent India at the International Astronautical Congress – 2006 at Valencia Spain.  He is also one of the two people to deliver expert lecture in the Astronomical Convention at 'University Sains Malaysia' on Space Habitats in March, 2006.

Abhishek has served as a judge at the International Space Settlement Design Competition held annually in July at Johnson Space Centre, Houston, USA. He also attended the Indo-US Space conference organised by ISRO and NASA in 2004 at Bangalore on invitation from the American Ambassador to India, David C. Mulford.

Abshishek has successfully completed a project on Control Systems for Magnetic Levitation with National Instruments and has undergone Industrial Training with National Aerospace Labs, Bangalore on software development for Avionics System Simulations.

Abhishek was invited to by the US Embassy to meet US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice on her visit to India (March 16, 2005). He is probably the youngest person to give a lecture in the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthpuram, India on the topic Space Settlements and Habitats (December 29, 2004)
